CHRISTMAS 2006

The first thing I did today was walk out of the house without 2 quarters for the paper. The second thing was I forgot to stop for a paper. When I got to Denny's I realized both of those facts simultaneously.

I went inside to get change for a dollar and had to wait  while the girls decided who didn't want to be there the most.

I got my 2 quarters and went back out to get my paper, some guy who was protesting the "no smoking" law was standing outside directly between the  2 swing open doors puffing and blowing as fast and heavy as he could and turned and blew it at me as I was trying to open the door.  

As I turned to my right to the paper rack - he did too, kinda like a shadow, probly didn't know he did it but then I think smokers are lonely and need company.

As I put my 2 quarters in the paper machine, (by that time I was furious and frustrated at this dumbbell) he tried to read the headline on the paper I was buying and sucking and blowing on his cig as though he had to get it done before I went back in so he could get a fresh one for the next guy! 

 When I finally sat down my adrenaline was rushing so hard I was slightly dizzy.      Oh, and when I finally left they didn't have change for a $10, there was a creamer on the floor that they kept kicking around-nobody had stepped on it yet- and when I gave the girl the 2 cents for the odd pennies she looked at it and broke a dollar and gave me back 98cents change..................MERRY CHRISTMAS!
